Red Barn Antiques is located in Minden, Nevada in what was originally the Minden Blacksmith Shop. This building was built in 1909 and serviced the blacksmith needs of the Carson Valley and V & T Railroad for many years. There are original cattle brands burned into the barn doors and a fire in 1943 charred the inside of the beams and roof which is still evident today. The business changed owners a few times over the years, but continued serving the Valley in welding and fabrication needs.

Barry has lived in the Carson Valley for over 45 years. His appreciation of the history of Nevada and this beautiful valley is the compelling force that gave him the vision of starting Red Barn Antiques in the historic Minden Blacksmith Shop. Our goal is to preserve the history of this area by repurposing some of the 100+ year old barns that are falling down and in need of being removed. We repurpose the wood in to beautiful home furnishings, and we also sell the wood for you to create your own custom designs.
